Here goes! Setting the scene (loosely)

So I have wrote blogs before. Lets see how long this one lasts 😏

Seriously though, I think it is important to document my journey into learning disability nursing.

Here's some facts to set the scene:

I am 42.(at time of writing.)

I am a mum, wife, sister, auntie, friend, imp (footy), outlaw (cricket), parish councillor and trustee.

I have 19 (and thankfully counting) years of lived experience of being mum to a young man, (M for the purpose of this blog) who has complex health needs and learning disabilities.

I wish I had wrote a book of my journey thus far so this is an attempt to create some sort of publication which will include reflections on past experience and where appropriate how it relates to current experience.

I am human. I am open. I have feelings. I will be brutally honest.
